Activities & Events
If you would like to check us out and/or participate, we have a number of activities throughout the year that you can easily be involved in; no long-term commitments required! Many of the activities we enjoy participating in are hosted by our best buddies, the Friends of the Winooski River, so we have also added these events to our list below as well.
Monthly Meetings

Annual Green Up Day Clean Up
- 1st Saturday in May

Annual Friends of the Winooski Water Quality Monitoring
- we collect water samples during the summer to measure priority pollutants
- contact Barre Rivers to volunteer in Barre City

Annual Friends of the Winooski Onion River Ramble
- First Sunday in June
- 5-mile paddle from Long Trail access to Richmond Town Green

Annual In-Person, Outdoor Barre Rivers Meeting

Annual Barre Heritage Festival
- Join us in the Parade on Saturday!

Annual Friends of the Winooski River of Light paddle
- Paddle under the full moon from Heineberg Bridge in Colchester to Lake Champlain in illuminated boats
