2012 Winooski River Sojourn

We're excited to announce the dates for this year's Winooski River Sojourn, a six day paddling adventure down the Winooski River. Part fundraiser for Friends of the Winooski and part public education event, the Sojourn provides participants with a unique opportunity to paddle almost the entire length of the river. Each day features a presentation on the natural or human history of the Winooski River Watershed by leading river scientists, historians and naturalists of Vermont.

Participants can choose to paddle a single day or all six days, camping over night at various spots along the river.

This year's Sojourn begins on June 19 in Marshfield and ends on June 24 at the mouth of Lake Champlain.
